La Trattoria features a limited and ever changing local menu that is printed daily on our chalkboard. The menu is seasonal and based primarily on the organic growers, producers and ranchers of Humboldt County. During the colder months our menu tends towards the Northern regions of Italy; while Humboldt County summers influence a Southern Italian menu.

 

We offer a soup made from our organic vegetable stock and an organic greens salad with our own hand made dressings. Appetizers rotate daily, featuring: Henry’s Olives tossed with herbs, bruschette with a seasonal topping, a savory tart or maybe a plate of prosciutto di Parma and imported cheeses.

 

We try to balance our entrees to accommodate both vegetarian and omnivore alike. You will always find a few handmade pastas (lasagna, ravioli, gnocchi or pappardelle), a chicken entrée and a red meat entrée. Risottos, sea food, polenta and various pesto dishes will come and go on a daily basis. Dry pasta options regularly include spaghetti with puttanesca, carbonara, tomato basil sauce or garlic & olive oil. 

 

All the desserts are made in house. They are usually traditional Italian, sometimes French  and may include panna cotta, handmade ice creams,

tiramisu, boca negra, custards, tarts, fruit pies or roulades.
